Premier Frequently Asked Questions

Which age group is appropriate for my child?  The age is related to the age your son/daughter will be in 2021.   Kids will be allowed to tryout for teams one year above their age group if they would like (to stay with classmates etc.)

  • U14: birth year 2007 --- Tryout July 10th 5:00pm

  • U13: birth year 2008 --- Tryout July 9th 5:00 pm

  • U12: birth year 2009 --- Tryout July 8th 5:00 pm

  • U11: birth year 2010  --- Tryout July 7th 5:00 pm

  • U10: birth year 2011  --- Tryout July 6th 5:00 pm

When are tryouts?  How are tryouts run? Tryouts will be held July 6-10th.  July 6th U10 (2011), July 7th U11 (2010), July 8th U12 (2009), June 9th (2008 boys), July 10th U14/15(2007/2006).  Offers will be provided by July 11th. 

When does the season start? Practices will start sometime in July.  Games should start in August.  There will be a minimum of eight games, four home and four away, and three tournaments.  Away games are in the Cincinnati/Dayton area depending on age group.

Where/when will practices/training be held? Each team will have two practices plus one training session per week.  Coaches may add/remove practices based on game and tournament schedules.  Practices and training will be held at Clearcreek or North Park. Specific days will be determined after team selections.

Who will my child play?  Regular season games will be against other SAY Premiere teams from the Cincinnati or Dayton area.  Tournaments are open select tournaments in the Cincinnati/Dayton area.

How long is the season? SAY Premiere is designed for the fall only.  It should conclude by the end of October.

How much will it cost?  The estimated cost for the Fall 2017 season will be $275 per player which includes registration, home and away uniforms, games, tournaments, and training sessions. The exact cost may change depending upon the number of teams formed, the number of players, the number of training, etc

Have coaches been selected?  Coaches have not been selected.  Coaches are volunteers, but head coaches must be certified at a minimum level with US Soccer.  Anyone interested in coaching should contact Eric May for additional information.

My child is interested, but unable to make tryouts.  Can he/she have an individual tryout? Individual tryouts are not encouraged as part of your child's score is interaction with other players, but will be considered.  In order to facilitate team selections, any individual tryout must be completed before the general tryouts.
