COVID 19 Update

We know many of you are eager to participate in youth sports again.  Many leagues have been canceled, SCBA has been delayed and we are uncertain what fall sports will look like right now.  Therefore, CYSA has pushed back registration to July 1, 2020 for the time being with the same expected start date of August 1, 2020.  This decision was made for many reasons, but most importantly in the best interest of our families.  "If" the season were to be canceled due to COVID, we want to be able to issue refunds in fastest way possible.  More communication regarding registration will go out in the coming weeks.

Below you will see updates directly from Coach Eric May for PREMIER and our Sponsorship Coordinator Erin Davoli.

Premier League Update:

SAY premier is still planning for a fall season and more information will come out as soon as we have more information from the state relative to when we can safely have sports activities.  For planning purposes, we intend on having tryouts mid-July.  We will have sign-ups for tryouts during the month of June at the CYSA website.  The number of teams that we have will be based on the number of players that try out in each age group, however, based on the last couple of years, it is likely that we will have teams for the following age groups:

Age Group

Birth Year

Boys

Girls

U15

2006

2006/2007

U14

2007

U13

2008

2008/2009

U12

2009

U11

2010

2010/2011

U10

2011

Games will likely start at the end of August, and we plan on playing 3 local tournaments.  This will also be contingent on State approval for the tournaments to happen.

Cost for CYSA Premier is tentatively $285/player and includes uniforms, 3 tournaments, referee fees, and training. We are excited for another successful Premier season and will stay in contact with you while planning for the future.

SPONSORSHIP Update:

Dear Parents,

Each season we have approximately 100 youth teams and approximately 1000 youth boys and girls ranging from ages 3 to 18, who proudly wear the logo of a local business in the Springboro and surrounding community on their jersey. Our valued sponsor donations help our league provide necessary training and proper equipment to players of all ages and in return we place our sponsors business logos on the jerseys of the team(s) sponsored, on our website and in printed marketing materials in recognition for their contributions and support of CYSA. As parents, grandparents, extended family, neighbors and friends, your support on the field as a coach or off the field as “fan” or “biggest supporter” of your child is second to none and key to the child’s development and success on the field.

In light of COVID-19, we are sensitive to the devastating impact the closing of non-essential businesses has had to our community. We also recognize that those business who have been afforded the opportunity to stay open may very well be experiencing impacts of the shelter in place orders and resulting decline in normal business.

As board members, coaches, parents, grandparents, teachers, business owners and much more in the Springboro community, we have also seen how our community has stepped up to support one another during this stressful and unexpected disruption to all of our lives.

With those thoughts in mind and with the intent of having a Fall 2020 season, we will still be engaging with local businesses for potential sponsorship for the 2020 season. However, we understand that some of our valued sponsors who have contributed in the past may not be able to contribute in the same capacity as before, if at all.

Calling All Parents! Do you have a favorite local business you would like to show your support to? Why not contribute towards a sponsorship of your favorite local business in their honor.

  • A full donated sponsorship of $200 may be contributed towards the CYSA 2020 Fall Soccer Season.
  • This will guarantee the business logo on a team jersey and also guarantee that your child will play on the team you sponsor.
  • A second team may be sponsored for $100.
  • Regular registration fees will be waived for your child.
  • Honorable mention of your support for a particular local business will be cited on our website.
  • A partial donated sponsorship of $100, can be contributed to our general sponsorship fund which will contribute towards youth equipment purchases and training fees.
  • The sponsorship coordinator will allocate donations and determine the local business logos to be placed on team jerseys.
  • There is no guarantee of placement on a specific team, though your child will be guaranteed placement on a sponsored team
  • Regular registration fees will still apply
  • Honorable mention of your direct support will be cited on our website
  • Still want to help out and ensure local businesses are printed on team jerseys? Any donation amount under $100 will be greatly accepted.
  • The sponsorship coordinator will allocate donations and determine the local business logos to be placed on team jerseys.
  • Regular registration fees will still apply
  • Honorable mention of your direct support will be cited on our website

Disclaimer: We will make every effort to accommodate sponsorships with team assignments, but cannot guarantee specific jersey color. Jersey color will be assigned based on color availability in a particular division with priority given to sponsors (business or parents) based on timing of response. There is no obligation of the league to assign friends to sponsored teams and standard league rules will still apply.
